I have checked the British Air website but could not find an answer. Does anyone know if there is wifi on the BA direct flight from Seattle to Heathrow?
We were on vacation in England for a month and just did that same flight at the beginning of May and returned just last week. Once the plane's doors were shut, it was time to shut-out the world. It was lovely, not listening to other people's cell phone conversations!!! No WiFi on the BA flight in either direction. People were using laptops, but only for document-type work (no surfing the 'net), nor were people allowed to use their cell phones. Nothing that sent or received any signals. The same for our Alaska Airline flights, too. Apparently, it could affect the planes electronic systems. However, on the BA flights, every seat had its own individual TV screen, with access to movies and limited television shows (I watched several movies, a couple of documentaries and an episode of "Frasier"). We took the 7:00 pm flight from Seattle to LHR in early May and the noon flight LHR > Seattle last week. Food was MUCH better on the LHR > Seattle! Relax and enjoy your trip!
Thanks so much for the information.
Leslie, are you sure you were on British Airways on the return? BA 49 (the direct flight to Seattle) departs Heathrow at 15:00, not at noon.
Oops! Sasha, you are correct! We left at 3:05 fro LHR. Duh.........
