We have 1 day in early August to see the Tower, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. We are staying in Victoria. What order should I do? I will buy timed Buckingham tickets in advance. I was thinking Tower at 9am, then Westm, then Buckingham for 3:45 entrance, but I could reverse the order.

Which day of the week? Monday to Friday I would do the Tower last, because the others are walking distance from Victoria. The District line will take you from Victoria Station to Tower Hill in about 15 minutes, but getting there by 9am means you would be on it at the busiest time of day. If it's a weekend it wouldn't matter, in fact the Tube would be very quiet before 9am.
