We are flying into Zagreb and then taking a bus from there to Plitvice Lakes. Our flight gets in at 1:15pm and we are hoping to make the 2:30 bus. Has anyone else done this same route? I know the trip from the airport to the bus station in Zagreb takes about 25 minutes. Just trying to figure out how realistic it is that we will make the 2:30 bus.
This is a classic risk analysis problem. You have two outcomes - you will make the bus or you will not make the bus. If you do make the bus, nothing is lost, except the book you left in the bathroom due to the great hurry. If you miss the bus, you need to make alternative arrangements, call your destination residence, find a place to stay, yadda yadda yadda. If it was me, I would stay in Zagreb that night, and go to PL next morning. Zagreb is a big city, has a museum or two, has a great central market. I would make a change in plans.
You're right, Paul. Thanks for the advice!
Paul is right on point. I just flew back from Zagreb 2 weeks ago. I enjoyed Zagreb very much. Stay and enjoy the city for a day. The airport time estimate of 25 minutes is about right....if not a little bit on the low side..
