Drawing from the invaluable experiences of others out there! Has anyone done this routing? I'm thinking of bus? train to Sarajevo and overnighting there and then on down to Mostar again by bus/train and finishing up in Dubrovnik for 5 days. Any insight is most welcome!
Steve is correct - there is no train from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik but you can book the train from Sarajevo to Mostar and take the bus from there on to Dubrovnik.
If I could, I'd invite you to check out this link to a similar thread that I started a few months back. This summer I'm flying into Sarajevo from the US and continuing on to Dubrovnik via Mostar:

I don't know if you're set on all those destinations, but another that I've been reading about lately is Makarska - it's on the coast (to the south of Split). Happy travels! Hope this info helps you on your way.
Haven't done this journey BUT
In general, train tracks in the former Yugoslavia are in poor condition leading to long rides.
The buses, on the other hand, are in pretty good shape and can be somewhat to a lot quicker.
