Wine Tasting in Provence France - Specific Enotecas in Piemonte, Italy

We love wine! We would appreciate any "specific" information /locations in Provence, and Luberon area for tasting and buying. Wineries open for tour are great, but we are more interested in comparison tastings of area vineyards, rather than time consuming tours. Any rec's on enotecas in Asti, Alba, Nizza Monferrato, Serralunga d'Alba, Barolo.

I'll go with your header, and the specific towns you named, rather than the reference to Provence, which is in southern France.

Many towns have an enoteca, where you can try wines of several wineries. In the Piemonte, we visited those in Barolo and Barberesco. The owner of the B&B we stayed at (in Monforte d'Alba) arranged visits for us to Podere Rocche dei Manzoni and Podere Ruggeri Corsini, which I enjoyed much more than I expected (I kind of had the atitude that the production methods are all alike). They are both small producers, especially Ruggeri Corsini, which is run primarily by a woman. It was fascinating talking to her, and to the young oenologist who led our visit at Manzoni. These were not tours, but individual visits by us and the other couple traveling with us.
