Where to stay in Krakow

I am having a difficult time finding a hotel, B& B, apt for 2 nights. I'd like there to be air conditioning and be able to accomadate family of 4, or 2 rooms close by. I am also looking to spend under 200 us dollars/ night. Any ideas?

Check out Hotel Saski from Rick's book. I don't remember the cost, but it was fairly inexpensive, as is Poland in general. It may not have air conditioning, but because I was there in April, I wasn't looking for it. The location is literally yards from the Market Square.

We booked an apartment with yourplace.pl. They were honest and helpful and the apartment was beautiful.

Another vote for Hotel Saski. It is right next
to the old town square and has a great breakfast.
We were there in July and it is not air conditioned,
but was not a problem with cool weather.

I also recommend Hotel Saski. I stayed there two years ago and I was very happy because of the convenient location. In addition, it was relatively inexpensive and clean.

Hotel Saski looks very nice. However, because we will be there in august I am concerned about the no air-conditioning. I have been looking at the hotel Pugentow (sp?). That also seems nice and resonably priced but has the air conditioning. Any experience with that hotel?

Debra, I'm no weather expert but over 70 days in
Europe June-August and Krakow was by far had
the coolest tempertatures we experienced.
Wore a light jacket there much of the time.
Check a guidebook or weather patterns to see
what average temperatures there are in summer
before you make decision soley on AC.

Check out the Hotel Europejski. Fine, clean rooms, with an awesome breakfast included. Three years ago I paid $35 per night. It's right behind the train station. Note, this hotel is not related to a very expensive hotel of the same name in Warsaw.
