When to rent a motor boat in Corfu

Four of us will be in Corfu for one day during the last week of October 2011. I am wondering if this date is too late in the fall to enjoy a boat rental for cruising around the island? Would water, air be too cool by then?

October can be beautiful- or rainy and cold. It's really a crap shoot. Hope for the best! Not great advice, I know, but it is the truth. With only one day, are you on a cruise? PM me if you want some other ideas on Corfu.
