I'm puzzled as to what to expect weather-wise during this time period. We'll fly into Istanbul, and the next day fly to Antalya, then board a gulet for 4 days. Then we'll tour by motorcoach to Kusadasi, Pamukkale, and Cappadocia, and return to Istanbul for the last two nights. We were in Greece during this time of year a few years ago, and it was VERY hot, so I'm wondering what to expect. Any help would be appreciated. A note to Andrys: I've really enjoyed your marvelous photos of your trip. Thank you so much for sharing.
We were in Turkey, a few years ago, in October
and we had great weather. A little cool in
Cappadocia some of the time. We may have there
one week in Sept. It has been so long, can't
keep dates straight.
My one regret is not going on a gulet. Have heard
nothing but raves about them.
Turkey is such a diverse country and the people
are so nice. Have a wonderful time.
Carol, thanks for letting me know the photos were helpful! I loved the trip.
Note that we left Sept 28 or so, and I had been told September was the BEST time to visit Turkey (by people at work who are from there) but we were lucky in that October was also great. I don't think you'll do better than the dates you chose. Have a wonderful time !

I'm told the weather is great at that time. Elswhere on this site I found out Ramadan starts then. I'll be in Turkey then and was wondering how that will impact dining experiences.
