We have 4 days to tour Venice. No car. Is it worth taking 2 of these days to visit Piran? Is there good transportation to the caves? Any recommendations?

I would skip Piran and go to Rovinj. There is a direct ferry with Venezia Lines that takes 3 hours. Rovinj is an amazing town with loads of beauty.
