Vantage travel, Eastern Europe

Has anyone used Vantage travel before? They have a trip to Eastern Europe that looks like a good deal. I like Rick's trip, but the Vantage trip has three nights instead of two on most stops. I'm wondering what the number of passengers are and the differece between Rick's trip and their's?

I have gone with Vantage to Italy and Rick to Italy. Vantage had twice the number of people as Rick's tours and the food on Vantage trip was disgusting. The food and wine on Rick's Italy tour was awesome. Vantage is not "thru the backdoor" type travel like Rick Steves and they tend to go to all the mainsteam tourist sites whereas Rick takes you places that you would never find in a large tour group.

Kathleen,
Thanks for the feed back on the Vantage travel tours. They are about $800.00 cheaper and include airfare. I went on the best of Europe in 21 days last year and loved it. My only complaint was the room assignments. Some couples seemed to get the better rooms and views.( and less stairs). I would like longer stays so you can see more. Did you have longer stays? Thanks again for the information.

Darla - just wondering, did you ultimately decide to use Vantage world travel? I'd be interested to hear how it went!

I have not yet gone on a Eastern Europe tour. When I do go, I will consider both Rick's and Vantage. I would have to see if the Vantage tour is the same as it was a few years ago. I like a longer tour and three night stays. Rick's tours are great, but shorter stays in each town. The down side is the amount of tour mates with Vantage. I was told that they try to fill the bus. Rick's trips you have a full size bus with half the tour mates.
