http://www.skype.com Computer to landline/mobile calls are around .02 cents a minute. Computer to computer calls are free.

When my wife and I were in the Ukraine in 2008 we would Skype our family once a week. Didn't need the camera view, and the calls were free.

Larry, I'll be texting with my Verizon loaner at a rate of .50 per outgoing text and .05 for incoming. The cell phone calls are charged $2.49 or so per minute with Verizon.
