We are thinking of the RS Best of Turkey tour. Any comments on going on to Samos then ferries to other Greek Islands/Athens?

If you have the time, definitely do it. Greece is amazing and the islands are wonderful.

I'm no Greece expert, but a friend and I spent a few nights on Samos (we flew in from Athens). We took a day trip to Patmos on the hydrofoil which was definitely worthwhile. Also spent an enjoyable day driving along the northern coast of Samos. You'd have to research other ferry options. Likely to be highly seasonal with some services only starting in June. I believe there's pretty regular service south to Kos and Rhodes, and less frequent service west to Syros and Athens. Plenty of flights to Athens in any case.
