Hi Brent. My wife and I stayed at the Blue Hotel in Istanbul and the Hotel Nilya in Selcuk (close to Ephesus). Both are very good and well located. Especially like the Hotel Nilya and the little town of Selcuk. Pete

I stayed at the Old City Viva in Istanbul. Good central location and great breakfast. I don't remember exact price, but I know it was in the reasonable category. I had a rather large room, so there might be some smaller ones. Beautiful city... we loved Istanbul.

it may be a little difficult to get something under $70 in IST, but other cities you should have no problem. yes old city viva is a good one - it's probably close to $70 but really good value. in efes you stay in selcuk, and you can stay in the wallabies.

In Antalya we stayed at the Hadrianus Hotel in the Pasha room for 50 euros per night. In Selcuk we used Hotel Bella @ 80 TL. They are also affiliated with another smaller pension called Barim which is just down a side street from Hotel Bella @ 60TL. For more recommendations check the Turkey Travel Forum on Lonely Planet. You will probably find lots of recommendations for inexpensive places.
