Thanks to those who looked at my previous plan. After further review, this is now what I am thinking: Sat - arrive Izmir go to Selcuk Sun - explore Ephesus and Selcuk Mon - early train/bus to Pamukkale - see Pamukkale/Hierapolis in afternoon and early evening Tues - early bus to Antalya, take domlus right to Cirali Weds - Cirali Thurs - Antalya Fri - Antalya Sat - early bus to Konya Sun - early bus to Goreme, arrive late morning Mon - Goreme/Cappadocia Tues - Goreme/Cappadocia - take plane to Istanbul at 19:30 Weds - Sat - Istanbul
Sun - fly home Sound good?

We did the following itinerary with four couples:
Istanbul 4 days (Hotel Sultan Hilleverything is in walking distance and they provided an airport shuttle and discount with Rick's book), then to Izmir and Selcuk/Ephesus for 1 1/2 days (used Backpackers Travel for within country airlines and arranged vans for the 8 of usgot us great deals). In Ephesus it is definitely worth doing the extra ticket for the terrace houses. We hired a car to take us to the top entrance, then took the bus back from the lower entrance. The hotel had promised transport but didn't fulfill that promise. Then to Bodrum to board a gulet for a wonderful 7-day voyage along the coast to Marmarismany archaeological sights and lots of swimming. A great trip in September especially. Zephyria Yachting was our contact for the gulet. Then we flew back to Istanbul, stayed near the airport one night and then back to the US.
