How should I pack for 10 days in Turkey (Istanbul, Cappadoccia, Ephasus) at the end of December? Thanks in advance!
Expect weather ranging from damp and quite chilly (Istanbul and Ephesus) to frankly cold and potentially snowy (Cappadocia).
Plenty of advice in the Helpline about packing for winter--the summary is layers, silk and wool, layers, and more layers.
izmir/selcuk kusadasi day time ~3 to 15 nighttime ~0 'C
cappadocia is ~5 and -5 light rain and less snow :)
I just returned from Istanbul. It was warm (to me) with temperatures in the 50s and 60s. I wore layers of clothing (a light jacket with a fleece and t-shirt). I was glad because I was too hot with the fleece.
Remember your umbrella :)
Have a great trip.
I hear that right now central and eastern Turkey are really snowed in!!
I just arrived back from Istanbul today. Definitely go for layers... it is CHILLY! Hat, scarf, umbrella and gloves will be wise too.
