Turkey and visa

I have read that you can pay and receive a Visa sticker at the airport when you arrive, but I am concerned that perhaps it is wiser to get the Visa ahead of our travel to Turkey this November. Is it better to apply for a Visa before we get there?

There is no need to buy in advance if you're arriving by air. Everyone else will be buying them at the airport. The process to get them is very clear, if you're flying into Istanbul. You'll walk right by the visa windows before you enter passport control/customs. Just make sure you have sufficient U.S. dollars or euros.
