Turkey and Greece weather.

I will be leaving for Turkey and Greece in about two weeks. End of May in Istanbul, Cappadocia, and Selcuk. Early June in Mykonos, Santorini, and Athens. I've been looking at the current weather and am seeing that temps are rather low. Is this part of Europe experiencing a bad bout of weather this year. I expected it to be warm this time of year.

I'm leaving on the 18th.... one of our regular contributors elewhere, who has a business on Santorini, lives there year round ... says that the farmers in Greek islands say it has beeen the coolest rainiest April in 70+ years .... only 2 years ago it was up to 89°F on about May 25, and I had to run out and find some "cropped" pants/trousers to wear because my long ones were too uncomfy. This year, i'm taking 2 cotton cardigans AND my windbreaker. Gabe, think about it... the US has been having wacky weather the last couple of years too! 2 years ago I didn't even put on my long wool winter coat until after new years in the N.E., and t his year, I wore it and wore it and wore it... all thru april. So... expect the unexpected.

Thanks. Yeah, I know we've been having silly weather. It's just a major bummer because I had my summer clothes all ready to go. Don't even know if we'll be able to sun bathe on the beaches in Mykonos. :-(
