I am leaving for Turkey on 4-7-09. I have a bad back so I can not do overnight bus. I am planning on going to Coppadocia first and am looking for a guide. Can anyone suggest one?
Also I would like a guide for the area around Ephesus to Pamukkale. I will have my 16 year old granddaughter so I want to be more careful than usual.

I have used an excellent guide in the Kusadasi region from Ephesus tours.

The owners name is Tijan and she is excellent, maybe being with a woman would make your trip feel more comfortable? She was extremly knowledgeable and spoke very good English. I believe that she also does tours in Istanbul and several other areas.
I checked out several copmanies and her prices were in line with the rest. It was a private tour and she showed us in one day:
Ephesus
Museum
Lunch in Kusadasi at market
Isa Bey Mosque
Temple of Artemis (what is left anyways!)
There were six of us on the tour ranging from 15 to 51 and we all had a wonderful time. Make sure that you see the Roman Terrace homes in Ephesus, it is a seperate entrance fee, but TOTALLY worth it.
