Greetings,
I have been to Germany once. My genealogy will bring me to Trier (Filzen & Hamm), Germany then to Opole, Poland. I would like to visit Wroclaw, Poland also. Can anyone tell me the best way to get from Trier, Germany to either Wroclaw and Opole Poland?

How about getting from Trier to Frankfurt, then flying out of Frankfurt directly to Wroclaw? Just looking at the map, should should probably be able to get from Wroclaw to Opole via bus, train, or car (not sure which would be best or what options exist). Maybe you can find something here, or at least a way to contact the tourism office to ask the best way: http://www.inyourpocket.com/poland/wroclaw

Hi, When you arrive in Frankfurt, either continue to Berlin by flying or by the ICE train. From Berlin Hbf. take the train to Wroclaw, then change to Opole. In 2001 I stopped at Opole coming from Krakow to Berlin. After Opole the train stopped at Wroclaw, a good opportunity to see that Silesian countryside during this 10 hr ride.
