Travelling through Eastern Europe?

I am planning to spend sometime just backpacking through Eastern Europe. My husband is based out of Helsinki, so the plan is to take a ferry to Tallinn, Estonia. After this we will spend a weekend there and he will head back to Helsi. I plan on continuing and going to the following places: Riga, Vilnius, Warsaw, Krakow, Bratislava and Budapest. Any specific routes or suggestions for these cities are welcome. I plan on spending about 10 days traveling through these cities.
Is it safe for a girl to travel alone through all of them? And any alternate cities or options are welcome.

Six cities in ten days? I think you need to reconsider... Are you planing on actually seeing anything, or just to keep moving? Suggest you buy a copy of Lonely Planet's "Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania". I plan to connect Tallinn and Riga by bus, but I'll stop in Tartu on the way. Use bahn.de to check for train schedules. And yes, it's safe.

The 10 days does not include the time in Estonia or Budapest. I just want to get a sense for the cities, so not sure I want to make many pit stops
