I will be in the Greek Isles in November. I am taking a 10 day cruise. I dont want to take the excursions that the cruise offers but would rather get a local guide...any ideas? Is it hard to manuver around each island on my own? I just dont want to waste alot of time being lost!

It will depend on how adventurous you are, how much time you have on each island and which islands those are. Renting a car upon arrival will give you the ability to see as much as you can in the time allotted. Also, there are usually guides for hire on the islands.
