I am staying in Verona Italy for a couple of days starting March 7 and want to go to Vienna. Any recommendations on the quickest/cheapest way to get there? Eurorail says 9 hours with connections and I didnt see anything on easyjet or ryainair

Yup, 9 hours by train, change Innsbruck. Or 9 hours by train to Venice, change to Austrian Railways double decker intercity coach (bus) and change again in Villach.
