Assuming you are traveling on a US passport, Turkish visas should be available at the port - cost is 20 USD. I believe only euros or USD are acceptable when paying for a visa.

US citizens don't need a visa for Israel. Can't help with Egypt - I believe you can get it on arrival. Either way, your cruise line should provide you with all this info.

For Turkey, a fee is paid at entry, in USD or Euro, about 20 USD. Egypt has much the same policy, a fee paid on entry. To get exact info, google the Embassy of each country and they will have a link for visiting, including Visa requirements. I am surprised your cruise line does not provide info. I have heard reorts that some cruise assengers do not require a formal visa or at least the fee, since it is taken care of by the cruise line or due to the limited stay.

Our cruise ship stopped in Izmir, Turkey for the day. No visa was required. Apparently for cruise passengers, as long as you are not staying overnight, there is no visa required. We were there July 2009 and we are US citizens.

Cruise line e-mailed me about a cruise to South America last year 6 weeks until departure. I did'nt read the small print just clicked agree to their rules. When we flew into Chile we got the visa at the airport. When I went to check in with the line they denied boarding I did'nt have a visa for Brazil along with 48 passengers Spent 5 days in Chile and was able to get a visa from the embassy flew to the next port the ship would be arriving. Out the expense of hotel, food and flight Thanks for the info.
