Travel via ferry to Santorini, Paros, Mykonos in September

We will be traveling from Mykonos to Santorini on Sept. 7, and Santorini to Paros on Sept. 11, and finally Paros to Mykonos on Sept. 14 all via ferry. Will we have problems booking ferry as we go or should we reserve before leaving the States? Any recommendations on fastboat ferry? Thanx.

i don't think you need to book in the US but the boat may not leave on the day you want so you should book the boat out of an island on the first day you arrive on that island so you have some flexibility. i'm pretty impressed by the ferry and the water is so blue and calm, i'd be happy if it goes slower - it'll be a great experience!

You'll have your choice of 3 different options on Sept. 7, 2 of which will be direct highspeed ships. The third is a combination of a highspeed from Mykonos to Paros, and then a conventional car ferry from Paros to Santorini which actually gets you to Santorini earlier in the day than the other two as well as gives you the experience of entering Santorini's caldera from the deck of an open ship. The highspeeds are all enclosed with no outside decks. The other routes will be active in September and advance booking isn't necessary on any of those you'll be taking.

Thank you so much for your advice. I think we will book our ferry tickets when we get to Mykonos.
