travel to Pogradec and/or Korca, Albania

We are considering going to Pogradec and/or Korca from Tirana, Albania. What is the best way to get there? Are two days sufficient to allow for travel and sightseeing?

Travel between Tirana and Pogradec - We did this about 5-6 years ago. There are regular furgons that travel this route. These leave from outside the stadium that is in next to the Sheraton hotel. Here is the tricky part (this information may be outdated since it is based on my experience)- I found the furgons only leave in the morning before 10. I went looking for them the previous day (in the afternoon) to make sure I knew the exact location and there was nothing there - and no one to ask. I was relying on my trusted Lonely Planet guidebook and this was the location indicated. I checked with the Sheraton and they indicated the same location. The next morning we made our way to outside the stadium and there indeed were the furgons. The ride was 2-3 hours and goes up and down hills/mountains. From Pogradec we headed straight to the border and walked into Macedonia (this has to be one of the prettiest border crossings in the world walking along the shores of Lake Ohrid. Your question about sightseeing is vague - what is the two days for - Tirana, all of Albania, or just between Tirana and Pogradec. If you are in Pogradec, I'd suggest crossing into Macedonia (if you have a multiple entry Albanian visa) - there is a picturesque monastery a few hundred yards from the Macedonia Border post. You can also go swimming in the lake. This seems to be a big pilgramage site. I strongly suggest getting the Western Balkans Lonely Planet guidebook and also downloading the free inyourpocket guidebooks (get Tirana, and the Albania ones).
