Travel to Istanbul during Film Festival

Could anyone tell me if I should avoid traveling to Istanbul during the Film Festival. I would like to travel to Istanbul around April 6-20th of 2012 but don't want to run into problems finding a room or fighting outlandish crowds. Should I postpone to early May...

I doubt it will be a problem. Every city has it's own film festival these days, some are more prestigious than others. Istanbul's version doesn't attract people from all over the world like Toronto or Cannes.
