Hi Bobbie, What about taking a rick Steves tour? I'm a bit older than you and went on my first one this year, to Istanbul. It was great. I went with a friend I met here on the Helpline- but we had never actually met til we went on this trip. I'm going on another one, the Villages tour, on my own, and based on that experience, I feel fine about going alone. The group were wonderful, so was the guide (Mert). It was like being with a group of friends.
