A few questions here. We are planning 3 days in Prague, taking the night train to Krakow, 2 or 3 days in Krakow (???), and then off to Berlin. Questions: how many days in each of these 3 cities and other than the night train to Krakow, what is the best way to go from Krakow to Berlin.

Flying would take the least amount of time, but you didn't qualify what "best" means - is it time savings or money savings? In terms of time amount in each city, Berlin deserves the most days since it's huge and there are enough activities to fill two weeks easily. Prague and Krakow for 3 days each seems fine.

Well, we figured because there are 4 of us, we'd save money on the night train. Krakow to Berlin is a possibility though.

Hi, I've taken that route Krakow-Berlin. Unlike now in 2001 the ride was direct with the passport check. That won't be the case now going from Poland to Germany or vice versa. I would suggest doing the route by day. Take the early departure, change once, you'll arrive in Berlin Hbf. before 16:00. Wizzair flies to Krakow but I don't if it has this connection.
