Travel from Prague or Krakow to Pustevny

We may need to get our son to travel from either Prague or Krakow airport to meet us in Pustevny 3 days into an ongoing tour. What would be the best way to do this. The travel day would be Saturday 6/22 and there are no flights from either into Ostrava. Krakow airport is closer but right now there are only a few seats left going to Krakow from Boston on the airline I originally booked though with more seats available into Prague. I can find no advice via a google search.

I don't believe you can tell by an airline seat map how many seats are left...so I would not worry about that. I'm not sure what your question is...is your son based in Europe somewhere? If so, have you considered buses as an option instead of a flight to get him to meet you? They are pretty inexpensive.

You can get to Pustevny from Prague or Krakow relatively easy. You get to Frenstat pod Radhostem (most of the time by train with one or more train changes) from Prague or Krakow. From Frenstat to Trojanovice rest.Raztoka by bus and from there by chairlift to Pustevny (it's on Radhost mountain). How to get from Prague or Krakow to Trojanovice rest.Raztoka you find on this website: http://www.idos.cz Scroll down and switch to English. How to get by chairlift from Trojanovice up to Pustevny you will find here: http://www.lanovka-pustevny.cz/funicular/

There is also another way how to get from Prague (or Krakow) to Pustevny. For example take train from Prague to Valasske Mezirici (direction Vsetin) at 5:16, in VM at 8:46, from there take train to Roznov pod Radhostem at 9:25, in Roznov at 9:46, from Roznov by bus at 10:05, arrives at Pustevny at 10:44. There are more options. Check at the website I provided in my previous answer. Put as the origin Praha (or Krakow) and as the end: Prostredni Becva, Pustevny konecna. It is easier to start in Prague than in Krakow. Fewer changes.
