My husband, 16 year old son and I need to get from Munich to Istanbul in July this year. There does not appear to be a direct train route. Any recommendations??

I would fly. It certainly be the fastest. Probably even cheaper than overnight train.

Definitely recommend that you consider flying. Try Pegasus airlines or one of the other budget carriers. I'm sure that the time you save will be worth the little extra that goes towards the airfare.
