Is there a bus or train from Istanbul to Kusadasi?

If not a direct bus, you can at least find a bus from Istanbul to Izmir, and from there another bus to Kusadasi, no problem. Just ask at a travel agency in Istanbul and they'll set you up.

Do also consider flying to an airport near Kusadasi - others on this board can direct you to the nearest one. Flights within Turkey can be quite cheap (Turkish Air, Onur, Pegasus and others) - unless your heart is set on a long bus/train ride.

That airport would also be located in Izmir.
