I am considering travel to Dubrovnik in late March. any input on weather and whether places to stay and eat, buses and ferries are limited due to time of year.

I dont know a thing about Croatia but you werent getting any help. For your ferries go to: http://www.jadrolinija.hr/ For the weather go to: http://www.weather.com/weather/today/Dubrovnik+Croatia+HRXX0001 And now you are bumped to the top again.
