Has anyone had any experience, good or bad, with Railovution's service for the TransSiberian Railroad?

We seriously looked into taking the TransSiberian Railroad on our way going to the Olympics in Bejing. After looking at the visa application which wanted to know every magazine subscription I had ever subscribed to, any and all organizations I had ever or currently belonged to and basically whether or not my belly button was an innie or and outtie I said screw it. Maybe others have had a different experience but the climate seems to have changed for the worse in Russia. When we went 8 years ago it wasn't any sort of a problem getting a visa. Just FYI
