I'm flying from US to Paris on Saturday. My daughter is in Greece and will be flying out of Athens that morning to meet me. If the airports remain closed in Athens what are her alternatives for travel out of the country?
Greek strikes ALWAYS are announced, and invariably take place on T-W-TH ... never on F-S-S-Mon. Calm down. She will be fine.
The Athens Airport will NOT remain closed. Where did you read this?
As I understand it, there is a strike in Greece and many flights are cancelled today and possibly tomorrow. I'm not familiar with strikes and how they work so thank you for the information - didn't know there are no strikes on the weekends.
I'm not panicking at all.... just want to know what the alternatives are as it could change our plans - didn't really want to vacation alone since the trip was supposed to be with each other. She is not in Athens yet so she will have to get there first from her other location in Greece. If she cannot get there she will miss her flight.
