Has anyone had recent experence (year) traveling from the airport to Old Town Prague (Taxi/Van/Metro)? Are the taxi drivers/companies still as bad as RS has suggested in the past? I will be arriving after six in the evening and would prefer a taxi into town rather than taking the metro or van but... If you suggest otherwise. Listening, Thanks
Susan
I was in Prague a couple of weeks ago and just used the bus and then metro, which was straightforward enough. There's a transport kiosk almost opposite where you come out of customs where you can buy tickets and get a map (usually).
Which bus to get depends which metro line your hotel is closest too. Details of the buses are here

If you have a choice get the 100 to Zlicin. There are major road works around Dejvicka at the moment.
In the past I've used these people who were fine, although obviously a more expensive option.
