Any suggestions about Train Travel from Prague into Germany? I was debating between car rental and train. Going to the Nurnburg area.
Second the motion on taking the train. The car rental companies are not in favor of renting you a car to take to Germany. If the Czech trains are dependable and ON TIME, then you'll be fine because when you cross over into Germany, the German trains will.
There is an express bus that goes from Prague to Nuremburg that is quicker than taking a train. We took it this past December. The DB website will give you choices between taking a train and this bus and it does seem that the bus is the quicker option, 4 hours or so.
I rode the train from Regensburg, Germany to Prague, and then back to Berlin, last September...very reliable and comfortable. You'll have no problems if you choose this mode of transportation
Thank you for all of the great advice! Did you just buy your train/bus tickets when you were there, or did you pre-buy them online?
I had a rail pass and had to purchase the trip supplement to ride the express bus. For 1st class for 2 people I believe we paid 40 euro to ride the bus
