We are planning to visit the Tatra Mountain area and would like to take a train from Krakow in early June. We are looking for train information as well as where to stay in the Tatras. We will be in the Tatras for two days before heading to Budapest.

Let me know what you find. We are staying at the Grand Hotel Kimpenski High Tatras in June and have a hired car for the trip to Budapest. Actually, the round trip from and to Budapest.

We took the bus from Krakow to Zakopane. It took about 2 hours. I think that this is the most common transportation route between the two, more so than the train.

and i have changed my plans a little and i am going to do a round trip out of Budapest by car so i can see some of the Slovakia countryside, castles, etc. turned it into a six day trip. There is some pretty spectacular sight seeing in Slovakia.
