Things to do in Prague at night?

Hi- I'll be in prague early may and my plane gets in at 4:30 which is disappointing because I'll mis a whole day. I'm staying right at the foot of the charles bridge around the castle so in a good place to sightsee. I'm interested to fins out what to do in the evening thought as I'll be getting in late. I'll have 3 other full days there, but any tips on jazz clubs, performaces places cheap joints.... I'm female solo so also concerned about safety at night. Thanks!

Hi, Alayna, there's tons to do in Prague at night, and aside from pickpockets, the city is very safe. One of my favorite places to hang out/see music the the Ungelt Jazz & Blues Club, right behind Tyn Church in Old Town Square (http://www.jazzungelt.cz/index_eng.htm). I go there every time I visit Prague. There are also beautiful classical music performances in churches all over the city, including St. Nicholas, which is in Old Town Square as well. Enjoy -- it's a great city filled with fun night life. Just walking across the bridge at sunset is an experience.

I can't speak to the night clubs per se, but just strolling the Charles Bridge and city center at night is great. Seeing the lights, people watching and snacking from food vendors.
