We're looking to get some ideas on where we can go for this 4 day weekend. We want to be able to go to a place with lots of sightseeing, affordable, but still have adequate transportation and attractions open this time of year. So far, we're trying to decide between Krakow, Prague, Budapest and Athens. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.
Hi Mike & Nancy...
When exactly is the American Thanksgiving? I think it's in late November but without consulting a calendar, I'm not too sure.
You might want to watch some DVDs on the four cities you mentioned? That might help you decide? Usually one destination will stand out in a traveller's mind in contrast to the others.
A 4 day weekend is a rather short layover but it is doable if you plan wisely. Are you talking four complete days there or four days including travel time?
Do you have a good Travel Consultant? (Sorry guys, got to keep my own kind in the tent!) Reputable Agencies will often have a travel library to lend out to regular clients.
In the USA, Thanksgiving is always the fourth Thursday of November. Often the TG "weekend" extends from Tues or Wed until the following Monday.
Sorry for not posting the dates. Thanksgiving is Nov 22. We did find a trip. There ended up being a sale and we read up on Prague so that made things easier for us. Thanks again!
