Any recommendations for taxis, airport to sultanahmet and sultanahmet to port re cruise departure?

You might want to check out the recommendations in RS Istanbul Guide Book if you have not done so already. We used several of his recommendations for transporting around when we were in Istanbul last summer.

Taxis are not that expensive but a lot depends on the flow of traffic. The rates go up somewhere between midnight and 6am. If you are staying in Istanbul at least 3 nights your hotel will probably provide one way transportation between the airport and Sultanahmet..most do, be sure to ask. I'm sure they will call a taxi for your ride to the port. As always, negotiate the price before you get in
the taxi.

hi I am Gokhan from Turkey,
it is ~50 TL ~20€ airport to sultanahmet, and ~15€ to the cruise departure. max.20 or 30 minutes upon traffic....

Maureen - Have you checked with your hotel? We arranged a transfer from the airport through our hotel that was less expensive than a taxi and we were landing really late so we didn't want to have to think about transportation when we arrived.

Thanks everyone for all your replies, our hotel has arranged a pick up at the airport for us, 4 people, 25 euros.
