Széchenyi Bath swimsuit rentals

Has anyone rented a swimsuit here? I am not too sure if I want to lug my swim suit around for 5 weeks of travel for an afternoon at the baths. But the idea of renting a swim suit seems kind of gross to me!

I never rent things like that. It's not hygienic.
How big is your swimsuit? Mine would fit in my pocket. It's not the kind grandmoms were wearing 100 years ago I've been seeing in stores nowadays.
Or try a 2 piece one.It takes less room.

Enjoy the baths in your own suit. The Szechenyi baths are very clean and well maintained but I amd sure that you will be most comfortable in your own swimsuit.

I am going to suggest something wasteful but maybe practical. It also depends on when you will be in Budapest.

Is it practical to get something cheap in North America at a Target or equivalent and just leave it behind when you finish with it? After all you were considering spending some money on a rental and furthermore from a style standpoint i can't imagine the rentals being very nice.

Thanks for that suggestion! I will buy a cheap bathing suit here and leave it behind.

Im in Florida vacationing with my teenage granddaughters and I can assure you their suits would fit into a quart size baggie with room left over.

We visited the Szechenyi baths a couple of years ago and carried our suits. We didn't want to take a chance on missing the experience for lack of a suit. Carrying the suits wasn't a problem and the little extra space consumed was a small price to pay for visiting the baths. Don't miss them.
