Suite for family group in Istanbul?

We need hotel advice for a 2 families meeting in Istanbul. We are planning to travel in Late November or late December; 4 to 7 days. We will meet my mother-in-law and brother-in-law there who are travelling from Tehran Iran. Travelling from the US will be myself, husband and teenage daughter, possibly 20 year old son. We want to find a suite or set of adjoining rooms with a sitting room, preferably close (like walking distance if possible) to major attractions like the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace. I believe that's the Sultanahmet neighborhood. We expect my mother-in-law will not want to do touristy things; just visit with the grandchildren she has never seen. The younger set will want to get out in the daytime and see the sights.

What should we ask for in looking for a hotel? We're thinking two rooms, each with bathroom, and one private sitting room, if that exists, where we can sit and talk. Here we would call it a suite; I'm not sure what to call it in our inquiries. We'd want it comfortable for an older lady with limited walking abilities: therefore must have an elevator. Breakfast too would be great. Specific recommendations are welcome as well as general. Thanks!
