I am considering adding a few days on to a trip to Greece to travel to Macedonia in June. Any suggestions on where to go and how long to stay? Also, I just read they have ski resorts there - anybody skied there? Maybe I should go in winter instead? We are a family of 5 -kids are ages 9, 12 and 14. Thanks.

Lake Ohrid is the prime destination. 2 days will give you time to soak in the town and visit some of the nearby churches and the monastery that is on the border with Albania (about 20 mins from Lake Ohrid). Skopje does not have a great deal from a tourist destination - so give it a pass. If you have more days available, cross into S Albania to hit some sites and then go back into Greece.
