Hi Expert Travelors!!
We're going to Croatia & a mystery country June 2013 for 14 days (figuring 2 days travel time + 12 days visiting). We'd like to start off in either Southern Italy (Amalfi/Pompeii) or Greece (Crete?). Not sure logistically which country would be easiest to travel, then fly to Croatia the 2nd week. Would welcome opinions on this. We'd like to fly into Zadar or Split, via some local airline (suggestions?) My husband's roots lie in Preko across from Zadar so we'd like to stay across on the mainland in either Zadar, Sibenik or any other place that's quaint with nice beaches that we can use as a homebase & take day trips. Would appreciate any recommendations for house or apartment lodging for 6-8 people. Also towns & sights north or south of Zadar/Sibenik that are not to be missed. Many Thanks!
