Hello, I am planning to travel to Turkey on Nov 22 and leaving from Milan on Dec 9. I am looking to travel from Istanbul to Milan In Train stopping in different cities along the trip. DO you have suggestions for travel aragements. Please let me know. Rene

Start with the famous train authority, the Man in Seat 61: http://seat61.com/. On the left, he has directions on getting from England to each country in Europe (and beyond). But once you choose the country, scroll down to get more information about other train connections, buying tickets, etc. For train schedules in Europe, the best source is the German rail (Bahn) website. You did say budget wasn't a big issue? Try this http://www.danube-express.com/. I have been to all of the stops along the way and its worth the effort. While I love the region I don't much care for the trains in the region. This is the only way I would take a train between the Bosporus and the Hungarian border.
