I'm having a hard time looking for transportation alternatives between Split's airport and the main town. I've looked at the schedule for the bus that meets arriving Croatia airlines flights. Because I'm coming in on a Sunday, the bus service is more sporadic (I arrive at 12:30 and the afternoon bus leaves at 3:30). Aside from Bus Line #37, which is mentioned in the RS guidebook, is there any other cheap alternative? Should I take this bus and then taxi to my apartment (in the Lucac neighborhood)? Or would sharing a taxi with others be a good idea despite we may not even be staying in the same area?

Is this the bus/schedule you were able to decipher? I took this bus to the airport once and it was great (clean and inexpensive) but one of my flights left too early in the AM and I had to take a very expensive taxi. If you could get the bus to work or to split the fare, that would be better. Yes, Agnes, that is the bus schedule I was referring to. If you look at it, on Sunday's there are few buses running.
