Any recommendations for items to bring back from Turkey- any comments about Turkish rugs?

A small prayer rug or Kilim is great. Each district has their unique pattern. I have enjoyed buying touristy things from museums, they have pretty good quality, and when I show photos to friends, I bring out the small statue of Artimus or the Trojan horse or Priapus and the photos take on new life. I'm going back in two weeks and can hardly wait. Enjoy your trip and remember that Turks have been hawking false idols to turists since before Paul's letters to the Ephesians. He got boo'ed out of the stadium. Still they are all dear people trying to make a living. Have a great time.
