Can someone tell me what are the percentages of finding a decent sobe the first week of June right in Old Town? Also, an approx. cost? Any sugestions on actual names is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

We stayed in Paulina Cumbelic's sobe (private room) a couple of years ago. The location was just outside the Pile Gate--it couldn't have been more convenient. Rick's book indicates that her sobe is closed in the winter. If you try a little nearer to June you might be able to reach her. Her phone number as listed in Rick's book is: 020/421-327

Not sure about old town, but there are plenty within walking distance. Last July we paid under 100.00 a night. Our place was just fine and I would recommend if I could remember the name. I will look. What i noticed is that the croats are ahead of the rest of Europe with installing a/c in their units.
