Slovenian & Croatian Road Conditions

My wife and I have travelled almost 50,000 Km. throughout Europe by motorcycle over the past several years. This time we hope to visit Slovania and the Balkans. We have been told that due to the many poorly maintained diesel vehicles on the roads, spilling diesel fuel, combined with the road dust, results in the road surface becoming very slippery during wet weather. This could make motorcycle riding quite dangerous. Does anyone have information or experience that would clarify this?? Thank you

We traveled by car in both countries last summer. The roads seemed quite typical of any country in the region. The superhighways are just like those elsewhere. The mountain roads are 1 lane, and the locals drive like insane persons, passing on curves with on-coming traffic, etc. Otherwise I enjoyed those countries.
