I've asked a similar question before, but my fiance and I are going to Skiathos for our honeymoon. We want to do a day trip to Athens. Flying won't be an option, as the flights to Athens depart at night. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do a daytrip?

I very much doubt it's possible, at least by public transport.
You'd need a ferry or flying dolphin to either Volos (which is 3 hours from Athens by bus) or Agios Konstandinos (which is probably 2, although I've never done it.)
The ferry takes around 3 hours to either, and the dolphins about half that. You don't say when you're going, but the dolphins run only June to mid September.
Even assuming you are there when the dolphins are running, and that there is an Athens bus waiting for you at Agios Konstandinos (which is possible) you're looking at around 4 hours to Athens bus station and a further 30 minutes in a taxi to the centre.
That's possible, if you're really keen, but the problem is getting back. It's really unlikely that there will be a ferry back to Skiathos late in the evening, so unless you go to Athens and turn straight around you are going to end up stranded on the mainland.
I've on experience of this but, depending on how much you are able to pay, it may be possible to hire a car with driver for the day which would cut some time off.
Sorry to be negative.
Congratulations, and have a great honeymoon anyway!
Alan
Not knowing when you plan to travel it's difficult to say, but perhaps if there's an early enough ferry from Skiathos to either Volos or Ag. Konstantinos you could fly back to Skiathos in the evening. Otherwise this is not possible as a daytrip.
I would also keep an eye out on the Olympic Airlines website to see if more flights will be added later on. That sometimes happens during the summer months as demand increases.
